About Me
Who am I?
Hi, I’m Abi.
Writer, solo parent, neurodivergent human.
I’m also someone who’s learned to survive, fall apart, and rebuild — again and again — in ways I never expected.
This site is where I come to speak honestly. About burnout. About beauty. About what it means to keep going when everything breaks — and to find something true in the mess.

My Story
I’ve always been a storyteller — even before I had the words.
But it wasn’t until everything fell apart that I realised what stories were holding me together.
In March 2023, my daughter was hit by a car and suffered a traumatic brain injury. It shattered the life we knew… and it changed everything.

The year that followed was full of hospitals, heartbreak, survival-mode parenting, and holding onto hope in the dark. Writing became my anchor — and eventually, my way through. That and the coffee!
Now, I write from that place: the messy middle.
Not from the finish line, but from the fog — because sometimes the most important stories are the ones we tell while we’re still in it.

What I Care About
- A world where neurodivergence isn’t something to fix
- Rest and recovery after burnout — not just bouncing back, but building better
- Stories that honour the mess as much as the magic
- Boundaries, softness, and saying no without guilt
- Finding meaning in the middle of the chaos
- Being human — not perfect, not polished, just real
