My Writing

Writing has always been how I survive.

I started my first blog, Mum in a Hurry, in 2012 — long before I knew I was neurodivergent, or that life was about to demand so much more from me.

Back then, I wrote through the messiness of parenting and the grief of my divorce, one post at a time.

Later, after my daughter Eleanor was hit by a car and left with a traumatic brain injury, I turned to writing again — not to explain it, but to keep breathing.

That raw, real-time writing became a Facebook page which later planted the seed of my memoir, I Do Believe in Eleanor, which is now beginning to take shape.

This page is home to all of it — the old blog, the new words, the essays I’ve published elsewhere, and the ones still looking for a home. It’s not polished or filtered. It’s just me, writing my way through.
